Emma Amato - 2026 Summer Intern
My name is Emma Amato, and I am going into my sophomore year at West Texas A&M University, where I am studying Animal Science Pre-Veterinary Medicine. I grew up on a small cow-calf operation in Hoehne, Colorado, where I was active in 4-H and FFA, showing horses, lambs, and pigs. At West Texas A&M, I am active in collegiate judging, where I just completed my freshman season judging wool. I was blessed to win two contests and be named to the 2026 Collegiate All-American Wool Judging Team. In the future, I plan to receive my DVM in Large Animal Medicine and practice in rural areas. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity to intern for the CICA, and I am excited to meet everyone at the conference in July!
